Dr Ajay Parottil is working as a postdoctoral researcher at the National Center for Atmospheric Research (NCAR), Colorado, USA. He received his MSc in Physics and PhD in Atmospheric Science. He later worked as a senior project associate in the Space Physics Laboratory, Vikram Sarabhai Space Centre, Indian Space Research Organisation. His primary research interest is in aerosol, chemistry and air quality modeling as well as in investigating aerosol-climate linkage using regional climate models. He also had the opportunity to handle and develop technical skills by operating various scientific instruments for aerosol and meteorology observational monitoring and data analysis. Currently, he is investigating the vertical transport and wet scavenging of aerosols in convection from local to regional to global scales using climate models.
