Workday Learning and UCAR's Education Assistance

Now that we are all working from home, this may be a great time for you to explore some virtual training, education or certificate programs that support your work and advance your professional or career development. We’d like to highlight two key learning benefits that UCAR offers to all employees: Workday Learning and the Education Assistance program.

Workday Learning, a component of Workday, is a Learning Management System (LMS) that combines professional development, peer learning, and required training into a single intuitive application, so employees can engage in learning at their own time and pace.

Although many of you have already taken advantage of Workday Learning, we’d like to share some highlights around the new learning opportunities available to all employees. In addition, we’d like to introduce you to the extensive elearning content provided by LinkedIn Learning (formerly through Workday!

For example, if you’re interested in exploring self-care and wellness resources on LinkedIn Learning, check out these videos.

For more details, read the Workday Learning and LinkedIn Learning FAQ.

UCAR's Education Assistance Program assists eligible employees by offering financial support for qualifying educational programs, such as course work or degrees from accredited educational institutions, or certification programs through professional societies. Self-directed learning—such as taking elearning courses through Workday Learning or work-related seminars or conferences—is not covered by this program, but may be supported by your lab, program, or department.

For more information on how to take advantage of this great employee benefit, visit the UCAR Education Assistance Program webpage, email Stefania Damiani or call her at x8715.
