Late-Career Workforce Summit - Today!

The Late-Career session is the third in a series of three virtual summits hosted by the UCAR/NCAR Workforce Management team. This cross-organization team is taking a close look at what our workforce needs will be within the next 10 years to ensure NCAR/UCAR remains a strong and relevant influencer in the global Earth system science community.

These virtual summits are gathering staff input that will guide implementation strategies for UCAR’s Workforce Management Plan. All three summits cover similar topics and follow the same agenda, but each approaches the topics from the perspective of a different career stage: early, mid-, or late career.

You’ll have the chance to share your thoughts on topics such as:

  • Retention
  • Succession, retirement, and legacy planning
  • Talent & career development
  • Innovation and technology transfer
  • Workforce partnerships
  • Diversity, equity & inclusion, and culture

REGISTER TO ATTEND:

Because many factors other than years of experience can play a role in determining an individual’s career stage, the Workforce Management team has chosen to not define the stages and instead asks participants to self-identify.
