Dr Asutosh works as a postdoctoral researcher at the National Center for Atmospheric Research (NCAR), Colorado, USA.He has exposure to both Industries and academia and with more than 10 years of experience. Asutosh's major research interests and expertise include climate modeling, Geo-engineering, climate risk assessment, aerosol-climate interactions, teleconnections, Monsoon variability, and Arctic Amplification. He uses state of art Global/Regional climate models (RegCM, WRF, Speedy, CESM-CAM) and available satellite and reanalysis. datasets. He is well versed with CMIP(5/6) and CORDEX like open-source datasets. He has a good command on programming languages and visualization software like Bash scripting, Python, MATLAB, Fortran, NCL, GrADs, CDO, etc. Dr. Asutosh has gained adequate knowledge of statistical analysis and techniques used for climate/weather data analysis.Dr Asutosh possesses a strong interest in teaching and research. He has cleared CSIR NET (eligibility for JRF and Asst-Professor in Earth and Atmospheric Sciences) and is the recipient of a prestigious INSPIRE fellowship (for Doctoral research). Asutosh topped during his Master's and Graduation.He works with many individuals/NGOs on various societal issues and awareness campaigns with an aim for social and rural reformations. He also has been working on popularizing science among school students.
