Bio

Aubrey is a hydrologist in NCAR's Research Applications Lab. As part of the development team for the WRF-Hydro Community Model and the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) National Water Model, she has served leadership roles in hydrologic process model development, multivariate model evaluation, and parameter estimation and regionalization. Her research interests focus on understanding disturbance impacts on downstream water systems, including the use of remote sensing in landscape characteristic assessment. She worked for nearly a decade in urban stormwater planning, helping quantify regional- and distributed-scale management impacts on water quantity and quality. In addition to WRF-Hydro, she also develops within the Regional Hydro-Ecologic Simulation System (RHESSys), a coupled eco-hydrologic model designed to simulate linked water, energy, and nutrient fluxes. She has experience working in high-performance computing and operational environments. In additional to her scientific and technical work, Aubrey has over 15 years of project management experience.
